Are you a certified Cherry Picker/Order Picker operator? Do you have more than 1 year of experience in operating that machine? Well, we want to talk to you.

Our client is one of Canada's leading mattress manufacturers (located in foothills industrial). They are looking for an experienced forklift operator who can operate the Cherry Picker/Order Picker and the reach truck. This position is a full-time permanent position so you will be working for the client on day one and not for an agency. Mon – Fri – start times range from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm to work an 8-hour scheduled shift (This position is scheduled to start between 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM)


  • Sorting – Finished Goods and Raw Materials
  • Receiving – Receiving incoming items (materials/consumables) against packing list and receiving packing list in our system
  • Inventory Control – assist with cycle counting duties, moving items for counters, documenting discrepancies, and performing recounts under advisement from Inventory Control
  • Shipping – picking product from a pick list, staging, and loading into the trailer with lift truck; complete documentation in the system to close the truck
  • Restock Finished Goods; move items into and out of the tiered racking on request from supervisors or production leads to support manufacturing
  • Able to pass a criminal background check (due to the unionized environment, all workers are required to clear a background check)
  • Must hold an active External forklift license (we cannot accept in-house)
  • Able to lift up to 50-60lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Comfortable operating a Cherry Picker & Raymond Reach


  • Union environment- The starting wage is currently $21.76/hour
  • Anyone on the afternoon shift (starting by 12:00 noon or later) paid a shift premium of $1.05/hour ($22.81/hr for afternoons)
  • Mandatory Overtime as needed or on a Saturday (per collective bargaining agreement)
  • A probation period of 45 days worked
  • Benefits – medical, dental, Life, STD – mainly company paid, LTD by the employee – after probation completed
  • Voluntary Pension Plan – defined contribution, 3% match – eligible to join after probation completed
  • Vacations – 10 days per year after one year of employment; 3 weeks after 5 years of employment, additional increases based on seniority thereafter
  • 12 paid holidays per calendar year
