Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage local data centers like a
pro!
- Be the go-to person for hands-on
day-to-day support of IT Systems Hardware and Software;
- Swiftly respond to user needs, and
keep management informed of any issues;
- Troubleshoot hardware and software
like a champ, and fine-tune performance;
- Upgrade Hardware and Software,
while keeping detailed logs;
- Keep track of software licensing
and hardware maintenance/warranty records;
- Ensure user accounts and system
access are properly maintained;
- Provide top-notch software system
support with IT staff knowledge and availability;
- Plan, develop, and manage IT
services, programs, and support like a boss;
- Help senior management with IT
strategic and tactical planning;
- Research and implement
cutting-edge technologies for improved communication, information access, and
user productivity;
- Manage budgets for technology, IT
services, and personnel;
- Understand business functions and
how they relate to the database and information flow;
- Keep user accounts and security
permissions in tip-top shape;
- Stay informed on the latest trends
and technologies to benefit the organization, partners, and customers;
- Uphold workplace health and safety
standards;
- Perform additional duties as
needed;
- Complete all applicable quality
records;

Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 diploma
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred;
- Certificate or diploma from a technical school required;
- Combination of education and experience.
Experience
- 5+ years in an MS Windows environment supporting Servers 2008, 2012 & 2016, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, Microsoft IIS, TCP/IP, DHCP, and Windows 7, 10;
- Proficiency with MS Office applications;
- Experience with Microsoft AX & implementation of new SAP ERP highly desirable;
- Background in industrial production/manufacturing environment;
- Familiarity with Kanban systems, ISO procedures, work instructions, and Lean Principles a plus;
- Experience handling vendor relations, obtaining proposals and bids;
- System Center Configuration Manager experience a bonus; manufacturing environment experience preferred;
- Skills in information and management reporting.

- Operate computers and office equipment with ease;
- Utilize vision and hearing for communication and office materials.
- Language
- Read, analyze, and interpret various documents and communications;
- Present information effectively and respond to questions from various stakeholders;

Computer skills
- Prior experience with an ERP system and understanding of file structures;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and database/processing software.
Certifications/Licenses/Permits
- MCSE certification a valuable asset.
