Looking for something new? Mechanically inclined? Well, we've got the perfect position for you. Our client is a large manufacturer of mattresses in the Calgary foothills area. Currently, they are looking to hire multiple people for their afternoon shift.
First Week:
- For the first week, you will be working 10-hour shifts
- OT after 8 hours
Compensation
- Shift: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. On occasion, we do mandate OT on Saturday with 72 hours' notice. Workers must be flexible to be able to work the Saturday
- 1 x 15 minute paid break in am, 1 x 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Duties:
- Using air-powered tools to either fasten materials together or apply hot glue, assembles foam components and adds outer cover per production orders following all procedures as trained
- All positions require the worker to stand for the duration of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as required throughout the workday
PPE requirements
- Mask and steel toe shoes are required (worker provides).
- Additional PPE that will be provided by the Employer includes safety glasses, a hi-visibility vest, gloves as needed, and an apron + protective arm sleeves when working with hot glue.
