Position Overview: Get ready to make a difference with our client, a trailblazer in the booming renewable natural gas (RNG) industry, headquartered in metro Vancouver, Canada. They are a global leader in biogas compression solutions, contributing to the decarbonization of the natural gas grid and the commercial transportation sector. Their core expertise lies in gas treatment and compression. Our client is on the hunt for a seasoned energy Business Development Manager to take charge of business development, customer management, and securing sales opportunities aligned with company objectives. The focus will be on RNG solutions, but may also encompass hydrogen, bulk transportation, and other CNG-related opportunities in the USA.

Location: This position is remote but does require occasional to frequent travel across the assigned territory. Ideally, the candidate is based in the Eastern USA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on market drivers and communicate them effectively to other team members, particularly Product Management.
  • Professionally represent our client with customers, prospective customers, and industry partners, focusing on RNG products.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and develop a key account strategy to provide prompt support and assistance.
  • Identify existing power-producing landfill and anaerobic digester projects for potential conversion to biogas upgrading.
  • Establish multi-level communication interconnection points and relationships between our client's customers and prospective customers.
  • Propose new markets to target RNG product sales.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans for market penetration and/or growth.
  • Continuously analyze competitor pricing and strategies.
  • Effectively use CRM to log activities with prospects, prepare and maintain sales plans, and drive opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reporting of sales activities and opportunities.
  • Support marketing campaigns, attend industry trade shows and conferences, and seek out speaking opportunities to promote our client's brand and products.
  • Collect and process feedback from clients and channel partners.
  • Keep CRM up-to-date, reflecting the evolution of leads and opportunities.
  • Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts.
  • Execute corporate marketing plans.
  • Manage budgetary and commercial sales proposals, and when applicable, oversee tender processes.
  • Review project specifications to determine project scope and equipment compliance.
  • Generate budgetary proposals, process designs, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangements (GAs), and final bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with A/R staff to ensure rapid and effective collection of accounts receivable.
  • Complete all applicable quality records.
  • Perform work in accordance with documented policies and procedures.
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing project change orders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the biogas sector.
  • Proven involvement in design & product development.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Certificates/Licenses/Permits:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Valid Passport for travel.

Other:

  • Extensive travel required within sales territory and company plants.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Salary: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
