Plant Manager

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Plant Manager for our cement plant in North Bay, ON. As our Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering our plant operations towards excellence, ensuring we meet our commitments to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Shift Schedule: This is a full-time position. Work hours and shifts may vary depending on plant operational needs. Occasional travel (twice a month) to Manitoulin is required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cement plant.
• Collaborate closely with employees to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and monitor employee performance.
• Establish and track key performance indicators for inventory management, maintenance, quality, and financial performance.
• Coordinate, implement, and maintain safe work practices across the plant.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership skills with a motivational and results-driven approach.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset for finding solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in construction management, engineering, or business.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a heavy industrial domain, preferably in the ready mix industry or a comparable plant environment.

Physical Work Demands (Optional):

• Ability to work in a plant environment, involving standing, walking, and lifting as needed.
